  • The Retail Council estimated that Canadians spend about $1 billion dollars on Halloween (2015)
  • According to the survey provided by RetailMeNot, the average that Canadians plan to spend on this holiday is $178;
  • Halloween holiday is second when it comes to the consumption of sugar, with $397 million spent on candy (2014);
  • For stores like Canadian Tire, Halloween represents the third most important seasonal category behind Christmas and summer backyard living;
  • The trick-or-treating years (5-14) were represented by 3,783,717 Canadian kids in 2014 according to Statistics Canada;
  • According to Angus Reid, Canadians aged 18-34 spend the most;
  • Average spent on candy (2015): $42
  • Average decoration cost in Canada: $43
  • Average party hosts expect to spend: $169
